I completed the fastest (and possible least financially damaging) trip to WalMart today! I got some frozen food, picked up photos that I had submitted online, and I had D with me. I was gone only 40 minutes and spent less than $20!!!! I can't remember the last time that happened....

I am doing Passion Parties again, and remembered instantly why I love doing it so much. (The parties! not "it"!....Although "it" is fun too.....)

I am off to a bit of a slow start, but am looking forward to April being a busy month. I have signed my first girl, and am now a "team leader". I didn't think I would be as excited as I am. I am just loving it. I guess it helps that I can share something I love doing with her.

Off to bed for me. I have to get to bed early tonight so I can get up early and exercise. Since Jan 1, I am down about 10 pounds. Only about 20 to go...

I'm still here...

See what happens when I make an effort to keep on this thing!? I go and get sick and can’t even stand the thought of hearing my fingers tap-tap-tap on the keyboard. Thankfully, I have since been medicated and am functional. Kinda.

Yes, I went out shopping the day after Thanksgiving. No, it was not all that productive. Yes, Lil Missy went with Sis and me. Yes, I got ONLY gifts. The first time out anyway. I did go back later to Ross and got three dresses (because I tried on about 15 and those were the only 3 that fit. And I loved them.) and it was less than $40. How could I afford to leave them there!?

The rest of the month flew by with parties, cleaning, visiting and good times:

* Bunco in December with our gift exchange. (I LOVED my salt & pepper shakers!)
* Portuguese Christmas party where Vanessa didn't cry with Santa and Damian asked Santa for 4 toy penguins
* Work Christmas party on the Delta King

* Christmas with the inlaws at our house. (it lasted 3 days.)
* Saturday after Christmas with my dad’s side of the family at our house. (35+ people, no tears!)
* Went to a Kings game, courtesy of our lovely friends visiting from Arizona.
* New Years Eve spent playing Wii until 9. Sleeping from 9:30-11:30, waking up when Arizona friends arrived. Kissed in the new year. Friends left about 12:20.

Exciting stuff, huh??

No so much, I know.

Our Christmas tree is still up. It’s coming down tonight. I have already packed up all the ornaments, and taken off about a fourth of the lights. Have a few more strands to remove. I’m so over it this year.

I don’t make New Year’s Resolutions. I just don’t. This year won’t be any different. I have been trying to loose weight and be generally healthier, and have been doing okay with that. I will keep that up. Damn it. I will.

I'm BAAAAAAACK!

Well, it has been nearly two (2!) years since I've even THOUGHT about posting. We'll see how this goes for me. I have intentions of blogging. But when it comes down to it I rearely do... Nothing blog-worthy happens, and when it does I rarely remember.

***************************

I think I am going to head out shopping early on Black Friday. Last year, my sister (aka Sis) and I went and we took my then 1 1/2 month old (aka Lil Missy). I was still nursing at the time, and because I wasn't sure how long I'd be gone, I decided that it would be better to take her than to have to try to get back home to feed her. All in all it went pretty well. She was a good little girl, didn't cry, and I managed to feed her between stores. Because really, I'm all for nursing, but not one pop it out in the middle of the store 'cuz the baby needs to eat. Anyway, minus a few snide remarks from other shoppers about "Oh-My-God-They-Brought-A-Baby", it was enjoyable.

This year, however Lil Missy is 13 1/2 months old, very talkative and very mobile. The Husband has requested that I take her with me again this year; even suggested that it would be "easy". I'm not quite convinced about that. Easy!? Clearly he has not been out on Black Friday. I suppose we'll see what happens. Sis and I are a good team, and Lil Missy is good, dispite her ... outgoing nature.

I'm not shopping for anything in particular. Just a good deal. Because let me be the first to tell ya, I LOVE a good deal. On occasion, I have gotten something that I didn't know I couldn't live with out because it was such a great deal. Only to have it sit in my closet for months. Ah well. My goal for Black Friday is this: buy only gifts.

I'll let ya know how that turns out....
